Interdistrict Requests
Interdistrict permits allow students who reside outside the Kelseyville Unified School District boundaries to attend KVUSD schools. The Welcome Center processes all interdistrict requests, including regular and employment-related transfers.
How to Apply
Step 1: Start at Your Home District
All interdistrict requests must begin at your student's current district of residence. Once approved by your home district, they will forward the request to KVUSD for final evaluation.
Step 2: Submit Required Forms
Download and complete the appropriate form(s):
Regular Transfer:
- Request for Interdistrict Attendance Permit (English)
- Solicitud de Permiso de Asistencia entre Distritos (Español)
Employment-Related Transfer:
- Employment-Related Transfer (English)
- Transferencia Relacionada con el Empleo (Español)

Decision Timeline
Approval or denial decisions are based on space availability and review of all submitted documentation.
Applications received 15 or fewer days before school starts: You will receive notification within 30 calendar days of submission.
Applications received more than 15 days before school starts: You will receive notification as soon as possible, but no later than 14 calendar days after the school year begins.
Expected notification: Early August

If KVUSD receives your request before your home district approves it, we will forward it to your home district for initial consideration.
All decisions are made based on available space and supporting documentation.
