Encourage Your Child to Read

Some great titles can be found in the Riviera Elementary School Library!

Encourage your child to check-out and read books within their zone of proximal development (ZPD). The ZPD is a range found when your child takes his/her Star reading test. For the most growth in both reading fluency and comprehension, your child should be reading books that fall within their ZPD. Every child in grades 2-5 are given a card during their library time that includes their ZPD range.
