Family Involvement

Parent participation opportunities include (but are not limited to): Parent/Teacher Organization (PTO), School Site Council, classroom volunteer, library volunteer, fundraising, chaperoning. Please contact the office or your child's teacher if you are interested in any of the opportunities listed above or if you have a special talent or opportunity that you would like to share with the students.

Ways Parents Can Help

• Holding your child responsible for his/her actions and behaviors
• Helping your child to grow towards independence and offer him/her challenging opportunities
• Providing a quiet place and set time for nightly reading and homework
• Providing any relevant data that will help your child's teacher - health problems or other situations which may affect your child's education should be shared with the school

Volunteering

We welcome parent and grandparent volunteers to help in the classroom and on field trips. To become a volunteer you must be fingerprinted through our district and have a current TB test. To begin the process please contact the Kelseyville District Office at (707) 279-1511.

Visitors On Campus

All visitors (including parents) must sign in at the school office. A visitor's pass must be worn at all times in a manner where it can be easily seen by school staff.

Due to liability and safety issues, siblings are not allowed on campus unless invited to a planned family event for the school. Students from other schools are not allowed to visit during the regular school day unless arrangements with the principal and supervising teacher are made in advance.

Our PTO creates many opportunities for Riviera Elementary Families to come together each month and enjoy a fun activity. From our Family Feast, Halloween family dance, Breakfast & Books with Santa, and more, you have a great time while getting to know our Riviera Elementary community.
