Bullying Information
Hazing of students or bullying of any kind is prohibited. Occurrences of any type, including name-calling or verbal threats, will be treated as a serious infraction. “Bullying” means systematically and chronically inflicting physical hurt or psychological distress on one or more students or employees.
Bullying may involve, but is not limited to:
- Unwanted teasing
- Threatening
- Intimidating
- Stalking
- Cyberstalking
- Cyberbullying
- Physical violence
- Theft
- Sexual, religious, or racial harassment
- Public humiliation
- Destruction of school or personal property,
- Social exclusion, including incitement and/or coercion
- Rumors or spreading of falsehoods.
Appropriate steps to address the concern of bullying, hazing, or harassment include investigations, interventions along with disciplinary sanctions and due processes for a person who commits an act of bullying, hazing, or harassment.
