Attendance Rules

1. All absences must be excused via parent note or phone call to the attendance office within 24 hours of student’s return to school to be excused.
2. Parent/Guardian’s may only excuse ten (10) absences per school year for their student. Any absences beyond 10 in the school year may only be considered excused with a written physician statement.
3. Tardies are unacceptable for reasons other than medical appointments and will result in an automatic detention assignment. Missed detention appointments will result in escalating consequences.
4. Three or more unexcused absences begin a mandatory county truancy reporting which may ultimately culminate in the student losing State driving privileges, parents losing State funding and/or court proceedings.
5. Seniors must maintain a positive attendance record to maintain graduation eligibility!
